Program Description

Description

During the 1960s Land art or Earth art emerged as a new conceptual approach to art making, reconsidering the values of nature, time and space in an urban setting as well as the possibilities to create and display art outside of a museum setting. Many of these projects can be found throughout NYC. Some are permanently installed as Public Art or in galleries while others hold a distinctive spot in the city’s cultural history and memory. Some projects are outspokenly political, others exquisitely poetic.

Please be aware that there is no need to register more than once.
