Art Lecture: The Lincoln Memorial

Washington DC houses the Lincoln Memorial, honoring our sixteenth president. The building was designed by architect Henry Bacon and the statue sculpted by Daniel Chester French.  Lincoln’s face is sad, bemused, craggy and animated – all at the same time.
