Program Description

Description

with Louise Cella Caruso

Washington DC houses the Lincoln Memorial, honoring our sixteenth president. The building was designed by architect Henry Bacon and the statue sculpted by Daniel Chester French.  Lincoln’s face is sad, bemused, craggy and animated – all at the same time. His image has inspired millions of visitors with our continuous search for freedom, equality and opportunity. Take a look at the art and architecture of this national treasure.
