Operation Gratitude Paracord Bracelets
Thursday, September 30 @ 7 PM
Make paracord bracelets for deployed service men and women. The bracelets will be sent to Operation Gratitude, where they will be included in Care Packages for our troops.
Prefer to make the bracelets on your own at home? Indicate that you would like to pick up a kit when you register. Then return your completed bracelets to the library by September 30.
Make 4 bracelets to receive 1 hour of community service credit. Certificates will be emailed when bracelets are brought back.
Take & Make Dog Treats
Pick up kits beginning October 1st
Register to reserve your kit, as quantities are limited. Kit includes ingredients and a simple recipe from Chef Rob Scott. Return completed dog treats to the library by October 30th and receive 1 hour of community service credit.
Dog treats will be donated to Ruff House Rescue Long Island.
Crochet Squares for Warm Up America
Wednesdays, October 6, 13, and 20 @ 5 PM*
Register to learn how to make 7 x 9 inch crochet squares. Attend 1, 2, or all 3 sessions. Earn 1 hour of community service credit for each square you crochet!
Completed squares will be delivered to Warm Up America, where they will be assembled into blankets. The blankets are then donated to people in need.
Warm Up America is a 501C3 charity made up of volunteers who knit and crochet handmade afghans and clothing for those in need.
