Art Lecture: Thomas Cole’s Journey

Professor Germano will present a visual lecture to complement  the Thomas Cole: Atlantic Crossings exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art which ends on May 13, 2018.  Cole, America’s greatest 19th Century landscape artist, was born in England.  His most ambitious works The Oxbow and The Course of Empire series inspired a new generation of American painters.
