Program Description

Description

This exhibition celebrates the artistic journeys of the students of the Yi Institute of Asian Arts (Yishufang www.nyyishufang.com)—each piece capturing a moment of curiosity, exploration, and self-expression. Throughout the year, our student artists have experimented with new techniques, discovered their personal styles, and learned to communicate their ideas through color, shape, and texture.

As you walk through the gallery, you will see artworks inspired by a wide range of themes and mediums: from traditional Asian watercolor paintings to thoughtful mixed-media creations. Each work tells a story—not only of the subject on the rice paper, but of the student behind it: their courage to try, their willingness to grow, and their joy in creating. We invite you to look closely, appreciate the details, and celebrate the progress each student has made. This Showcase honors not just completed pieces, but the passion and reflection at the heart of every student artist’s Art Journey.

The public is invited to attend.
