Description

This program will celebrate the vibrant music of Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Mardi Gras—known as “Fat Tuesday”—falls the day before Ash Wednesday and marks the final day of indulgence before the start of Lent. This year, it will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 17.

Enjoy the iconic sounds of Dr. John, Fats Domino, The Meters, The Neville Brothers, Allen Toussaint, and more. Members of the band have recorded, toured, or performed with renowned artists such as Henry Butler, Susan Tedeschi, Odetta, and Madeleine Peyroux.

Tickets are required. Jericho cardholders may pick up 2 tickets per person beginning January 25th. Non-residents may pick up 2 tickets per person beginning two weeks before the performance. Non- ticket holders will be seated as space allows. This program is co-sponsored by the Jericho Public Library and the Town of Oyster Bay Distinguished Artist Series.
