Frans Hals was one of the most sought-after painters of his generation. He earned his reputation with a new style of ‘loose brushwork’ portraiture. The National Gallery and The Rijks Museum will host this first major retrospective exhibition of Hals in more than thirty years; London, Fall 2023, and Amsterdam, Spring 2024. Professor Thomas Germano will present a visual presentation related to the life, the work and the exhibitions.
