Virtual: Art Lecture - Georgia O’Keeffe: To See Takes Time with Professor Thomas Germano
Program Type:Art Lecture
This program will begin at 3:00 PM
Georgia O’Keeffe once wrote, “To see takes time.” Best known for her flower paintings, O’Keeffe also made extraordinary series of preliminary multi-media drawings. Throughout a long and prolific career, she revisited and reworked the same subjects, developing, repeating and transforming motifs that bridge observation and abstraction. O’Keeffe’s many images captured not only nature’s forms but its rhythms. Professor Germano will conduct a visual lecture about the artist and her work in the MoMA’s exhibition on display through August 12, 2023.
