Description

The National Gallery of Art and its attached Sculpture garden is located on the National Mall in our nation’s capital. It was privately established in 1937 for the American people by a joint resolution of Congress. It traces the development of Western Art from the Middle Ages to the present, including the only painting by Leonardo da Vinci in the Americas. For the breadth, scope and magnitude of its collection, it is often considered one of the finest museums in the United States, ranking alongside the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. Join Mary as she shares her look at the gallery’s art.
