Program Description

Description

Doris Day’s career as an actress and singer continues to be highly revered by her fans. Music and dance were always a part of her life; when her hopes of a dance career were cut short by an automobile accident, she turned to singing, and became a vocalist for Les Brown. Hollywood discovered her, and she was a major film personality for 25 years, performing in musicals, comedies and dramas. After a stint on television, she retired and lived quietly in Carmel, but used her star status to advocate as animal rights activist. Her talents are enormous, and it is a pleasure spending time remembering the career and the woman.

Jericho cardholders only until 14 days before event.
