Playing the part of Johnny Cash is Thomas Michael Cavanagh, musician, actor and a session musician on hundreds of albums. He performs the show with a band consisting of two Carter sisters singing harmony, a drummer, a bassist and lead guitarist just the way Cash did for many years.
