July 8- Discover Ancient Egypt: Step into a time when papyrus grew along the Nile River & pyramids dotted the horizon. This vividly illustrated and engagin online presentation intorduces the art and archaeology of Ancient Egypt. Explore the interior of the pyramids while discovering teh science of mummification, decipher hieroglypics, learn the secrets of King Tut, and much more!
July 15- Discover Ancient Rome: Let's tour the world famous Roman Colosseum, learn about various gladiator battles, and discover classic Roman archictecture we see even today, such as columns and arches.
July 22- Archaeology 101: Can You Dig It? Learn how an archaeological excavation is organized and scientifically run, the correct methods to 'dig up"artifacts, the different types of archaeology, and how we decide where to excavate.
